In Mona Vale on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, D+K House reinterprets a mid-century home with clean lines, classic proportions, and an emphasis on indoor–outdoor living.

The redesign shifts living areas to the ground floor for garden connection, while private rooms above overlook a deep-soil green roof—inspired by the clients’ love of gardening and minimalism. The roof provides thermal mass, while operable windows enable natural ventilation, removing the need for artificial heating and cooling.

A palette of textured brick, timber coffered ceilings, and custom glazing reflects a tactile, durable approach. The result is a refined and environmentally responsive home that sits quietly in its coastal setting.
